It really is a lot more satisfying to not hit a button over and over again. And I'm getting around 900 dps on certain boss fights; those where all I really have to worry about is timing my shots and other small things. I know hunters that hit random buttons and they do about half of my DPS. The macro helps because it does the correct BM shot rotation for you, all automated. But I'm silly, and enjoy doing it all manually... it makes me feel more involved. ;P Getting that much DPS is all about getting your shot rotation right.
