Kara and Growl

First off, we ran Kara again starting after Curator last night. We got Shade of Aran in one try! =D Though who knows if that will be the case after the creature-cast polymorph change. We don’t have enough dps to power through his health faster than his mana yet, though I think we had it pretty close. At that point I think quite a few of us were oom with pots already popped and no way of getting more mana.

We did Chess with no problems. I made sure to grab myself a summoned daemon this time. =3

Then we decided to backtrack to try our hand at Illhoof. And got our asses handed to us. We were okay on the chains and keeping the sacrificed person healed, it was just all the imp spawns were killing the two people we had keeping them occupied. They ended up piling up on us and we wiped the second attempt at maybe 50%ish.

All of this new stuff with Growl is having quite a few hunters up in arms. I definitely noticed a change in Cuddles’ aggro as soon as 2.4 went live, but I’ve adapted around it since it only mattered while doing dailies. However, I can imagine it may be posing a serious problem for the lower hunters. Mania over at Petopia is trying to gather some data, but seems to be having problems showing evidence for Growl scaling with the hunters RAP. Hopefully we’ll get some word on this soon before 2.4.2 goes live.

I’m also a little excited about the buff to Aspect of the Viper. I’ve gotten used to having to swap Aspects during boss fights. It’s inevitable, so I’m happy to see that Viper will be a bit more useful than it has been. Hopefully swapping aspects and popping a potion will hold me over mana-wise for longer.

Grats on your Kara progress! I wasn’t present for the beginning of my guild’s progress through Kara, so the first time I went, it was ezmode free professor plums. I think progression in raiding is alot of fun. Downing a boss for the first time is very rewarding.

It really is. As frustrating as it is sometimes, working together for new content just feels so much more rewarding.
